Boutique Assistant
Requirements: Minimal experience in the retail industry (or equivalent).
Knowledge: Basic management and accounting principles.
Main responsibilities
- Customer service and sales to Senators, MPs, parliamentary employees and visitors
- Inventory management and control
- Product and store merchandising
- Cash management and control
Important tasks
- Ensure an excellent level of customer service
- Ensure that daily operations run as smoothly as possible
- Ensure Boutique cleanliness and appearance
Duration
- Determined probation period: 3 months
- Determined work period: Maximum of 12 months, renewable each school year
Eligibility
You must:
- be enrolled in a college or university program
- be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
- have an interest in customer service and teamwork
- possess good interpersonal skills

Successful candidates
If you are selected during this process, you will be required to:
- participate in a telephone or MS Teams interview that will consist of behavioural, situational or knowledge-based questions
- complete a satisfactory reference check
- obtain a successful pre-employment screening
- provide scanned or photocopied proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
If you are selected during this process, you may be required to:
- undertake an evaluation of your second language oral proficiency, as preference will be given to candidates who can communicate orally in both official languages
