Boutique Assistant
Requirements: Minimal experience in the retail industry (or equivalent).
Knowledge: Basic management and accounting principles.
Main responsibilities
- Ensure an excellent level of customer service to Senators, MPs, parliamentary employees and visitors
- Inventory management and control
- Product and store merchandising
- Cash management and control
Important tasks
- Ensure that daily operations run as smoothly as possible
- Ensure Boutique cleanliness and appearance
Determined duration
- Probation period: 3 months
- Work period: Maximum of 12 months, renewable each school year
Eligibility
You must:
- Be enrolled in a college or university program
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
- Have an interest in customer service and teamwork
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Be able to work some weekdays and weekends
Position information
Job type: Part-time (school) to full time (summer)
Work days:
- Weekdays and weekends from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Open year-round except for Canada Day, Christmas day and New Year's day

Successful candidates
If you are selected during this process, you will be required to:
- Participate in an interview (in-person or online) that will consist of answering behavioural, situational or knowledge-based questions related to the retail industry
- Pass a reference check
- Pass a successful pre-employment screening
- Pass a second language oral proficiency test (oral C)
If you are selected during this process, you may be required to:
- Provide proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- Provide a copy of your schedule for the next semester
